Albums
The discography of American rock band Toto includes 13 studio albums, 4 live albums, and numerous compilations. In addition to releasing original music, Toto has also done collaborations with other artists as well as on soundtracks for films. The band has won multiple Grammy Awards for their work.
Before Toto was formed the members of the group did session work for other musicians. Drummer Jeff Porcaro, bassist David Hungate and keyboardist David Paich (the son of session drummer Marty Paich and brother of guitarist Joe Porcaro) played on Boz Scaggs 1975 album Silk Degrees. The group’s collaboration led to the formation of Toto in 1976.
Turn Back, Toto’s third studio album was criticized by critics due to the absence of hit singles. In 1985, singer Fergie Frederiksen quit the group, and the band held auditions for a new frontman. The band picked guitarist Steve Lukather, and recorded Fahrenheit in 1986.
Toto released Toto XX in 1998 to mark the 20th anniversary of the band. The group went through old recordings and tapes to create the album. The album was well-received by fans, and the band embarked upon a tour with former members Bobby Kimball Steve Porcaro and Joseph Williams.
Shem von Schröck replaced Leland Sklar as drummer on the tour in support of the 40 Trips Around the Sun album. In 2017, Toto released the double-CD set Falling in Between. It included recordings from the tour and also an interview with the group.

The group is comprised of six members: guitarist/vocalist Steve Lukather, bassist David Paich, keyboardist/vocalist Steve Porcaro, drummer Jeff Porcaro and guitarist/vocalist Joseph Williams. The band Toto IV released in 1983 won them worldwide applause. After the album’s success the group embarked on a tour around the world in support of the album. During the tour, lead vocalist Bobby Kimball was arrested on drug charges. At the end of the tour, the band decided to let him go, and they hired guitarist/singer Joseph Williams to take his place. David Hungate, the drummer also quit the band after the tour. He was replaced by bassist Leland Sklar.
